The Isle of Mull is the second largest Hebridean island, situated just off Scotland’s west coast. The ferry ride from Oban to Craignure on Mull only takes 40 minutes- much shorter than the 2.5 to 3 hour journey by road from both Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The cottage itself is a 40 minute drive away from the ferry terminal at Craignure. To get there from the port, head in the direction of Salen and Tobermory.
Two miles after Salen on the road to Tobermory, just before the bridge, turn off to the left and follow the road signposted to Dervaig and ‘Calgary Art in Nature’. This is the ‘Glen Road’
On arrival at picturesque village of Dervaig, Half Moon House is directly by the signature green and white ‘DERVAIG’ village sign. The house will be set up on right hand side of street.
This home away from home is only 300 meters Bellachroy Hotel (local pub), 400 meters from neighbouring shop/convenient store , and 200 meters Loch a’ Chumhainn- an inlet leading into Atlantic Ocean.
